FLUTe is
the trademarked short name for the company
"Flexible Liner Underground Technologies, LLC".
Over a decade FLUTe has
developed a wide variety of innovative applications of flexible
tubular liners for environmental use. The primary liner use is in
the form of everting/inverting pressure driven liners for
installations in boreholes, pipes and other passages.
FLUTe
manufactures liners and associated equipment at their Santa Fe and
Albuquerque, New Mexico plants. FLUTe also provides
installation and training services to new customers. FLUTe is
a privately owned company.
FLUTe methods were first developed by
Carl Keller in 1989.
FLUTe holds many patents on its techniques. FLUTe
sales have increased a great deal in the last several years as a
result of general acceptance of the technology in groundwater
measurement and DNAPL mapping applications. Other liner
applications range from augmentation of horizontal drilling and
landfill monitoring to relining of drain pipes in the walls of the
Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.
